German Remnants of a Fallschirmjager Battalion
~1944 to 1945~ |
|||||||
|
Originally bought for the TFL Crete Day in 2004, I seem to have an awful lot of fallschirmjagers!
The main force consists of five platoons of three 8-man squads each, backed up by powerful support in the form of three platoons of four medium machineguns each and a platoon of four medium mortars. There is also a platoon of anti-tank guns, of pack artillery, and a small squad of engineers armed with flammenwerfers.
Transport to the drop site is via an aged "Tante Ju" Ju-52 (a wonderful kit from Dahlmann) and four DFS-920 gliders.
