DescriptionZombie Smith's Aphids are a range of small frog-like humanoids. I play the Aphids as reluctant warriors: a conscript army for the most part with the grav bike and powered armour infantry representing a core of better quality regulars. 

So far, I have not been able to find a set of vehicles that I feel matches their essential Aphid "froggi-ness", so at the moment they are limited in terms of support. That said, the grav bike and powered armour squads have proved most effective in playtesting.

  • Aphid Scout Infantry Squads receive -1 die when firing as they have no Light Support Weapons.

  • Aphid Infantry Squads receive +1 die when firing as they have two Light Support Weapons.

  • Aphid Powered Armour Infantry receive +50% dice bonus in Close Combat. 

  • Aphid Powered Armour Infantry use the Tech 2 armour line (1,2,3/4,5/6) on the casualty table and have a "double 1 on 2d6" save against kills.

  • Aphid Grav bikes allow movement over terrain obstacles up to shoulder height, but move at the same speed as normal infantry.

 Notes:

 Aphid Battalions consist of three infantry companies and a grav bike platoon. Three Battalions make up a Regiment. Powered Armour Platoons and Scouts are organised into companies of three platoons each, and are attached to a particular Regiment, where they are either deployed en masse or distributed amongst the regiment's individual companies and battalions.

One card is included in the pack for each platoon present.  One card should also be included for each support platoon present. The command structure in terms of Big Men is shown above.

 Recon: always applies to Scout Infantry.
